Weird Names Favored by Hollywood Celebrities For Their Offsprings

Snips from Long Island Press
Paul J.J. Payack, the head of Global Language Monitor, which monitors word and name usage, tells Reuters that Shiloh was an unusual name choice for Pitt and Jolie. Not only is it a male name that means Messiah, but it was also the site of one of the bloodiest battles in the Civil War. It will take several years to see whether the name Shiloh stands strong among the public.

“These days if you have an ordinary name in Hollywood you change it to a weird one,” said Pam Satran, co-author of the best-selling baby naming book Beyond Jason & Jennifer, in an interview with Reuters. “The more distinctive your name is the better. There's a whole issue of image and branding out there.”
