The body of the moth consists of the colours grey, black, olive green and brown while the wing is approximately 6 centimeters wide when it opens. This moth called Deilephila Hypotnous (Cramer) can usually be found in the low lying mountainous regions in [the south] China, Taiwan, India and Burma. They feed on tree leafs and when present in large numbers, will make significant damages to leafs of trees in the area where they reside.Link to Guangzhou Daily (in Chinese) & Spluch
