Judge Roy Pearson of District of Columbia who filed a $54 million lawsuit (originally $65M) against his neighborhood South Korean dry cleaner Kim Jin Chung over a pair of missing pants will not get a penny, US Superior Court ruled.

Judge Judith Bartnoff ruled that Pearson failed to prove that Custom Cleaners the shop Kims owned misled consumers with its “satisfaction guaranteed” sign and couldn't convince her that they had lost his pants.

At the same time, Judge Pearson has been ordered to pay the defendant's court costs which could top up to $5,000. Links to NYT & the photo gallery of missing trousers
