Stephanie Beane, an ten-year-old girl from Eaton Town of Ohio, was officially recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's youngest stock car racer on June 29. That day she drove a stock car on the track of the Sandusky Speedway Motor-Sports Park and roared around the track at speeds of about 60 mph to become the youngest stock car racer ever, beating a previous record set by 12-year-old Amanda Stroud, who competed in North Carolina during the 2001 racing season.
