TV host and actor Gary Collins, 69, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving following a collision in LA's San Fernando Valley on Oct. 24. Collins' blood alcohol level was over twice the legal limit.
According to TMZ, Collins was driving his black Ford Explorer northbound on Kester Ave. in Sherman Oaks, Calif. when he slammed into a blue Toyota driven by an 80-year-old man that was making a left southbound onto Kester Ave. The collision caused Collins' Explorer to lose control then subsequently crashed into two parked cars.
Collins was not hurt in the crash, the other driver was taken to a hospital for examination of unspecified injuries and the investigation is ongoing.
Collins was booked into the Van Nuys Jail, and later was released on $40,000 bail.
