Meet Meagan Harper, an Oregon woman who drove under a blood alcohol level of 0.55--nearly seven times greater than Oregon's legal limit (0.08) for driving while on probation for DUI.
At that level, some people are so drunk they would even stop breathing, according to Dr. Mohamud Daya, an Oregon Health & Science University associate professor and emergency room physician.
Luckily, Meagan Harper was saved thanks to an officer who found her when she fainted in a car at a pizza restaurant on Nov. 28.
On Wednesday, Harper who has at least two previous drunken-driving convictions was charged with drunk driving again in Clackamas County.
Thinking her as an extraordinary danger for other road users, Judge Patrick Gilroy set her bail at $50,000 and told her to do rehab. Link #Tags: meagan harper, dui, charge
