Time Square Makeover

As you may know, Times Square is now officially a pedestrian-only zone and it will be massively overhauled in 2012. But before that NYC Department of Transportation decided to ???refresh and revive??? the streetscape and accepted 150 design submissions to revamp Times Square. Molly Dilworth was recently awarded the first prize for her proposal “Cool Water, Hot Island”. Her design is a graphical representation of NASA’s infrared satellite data of Manhattan, and looks like a blue river flowing down Broadway.
