Venus Williams Claims 4th Wimbledon Title

Venus Williams Claims 4th Wimbledon Title The rank of 31 didn't hamper the determination of Venus Williams to beat her competitors with higher ranks in Center Court. So she has won every game using her golden racket she can win and became the lowest-seeded woman in Wimbledon history (23rd) to lift up the champion's trophy.

In defeating unlikely finalist Marion Bartoli of France, 6-4, 6-1, Venus Williams won her fourth Wimbledon title. And in doing so, she joined Billie Jean King, Martina Navratilova and Steffi Graf as the only women to have won the sport's most prestigious title four times.

She earned another distinction in the process, becoming the first woman in Wimbledon history to earn prize money equal to the men's champion.

Congrats! Venus!
