Merv Griffin, the entertainer turned impresario who parlayed his "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune" game shows into a multimillion-dollar empire, has died, of of prostate cancer which was diagnosed date back in 1996, at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.
