Uygur Girls Press Grape Juice With feet to Make Wine

Two Uygur girls were pressing grape juice with their feet to make wine at the Grape Valley in Turpan, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. Nowadays, mechanical wine press has been widely used to take the place of this traditional technology. In the past, the girls who press grapes must wash their feet carefully, and they were even not allowed to step on anything unclean during the days of work.  Source: CNS
