Benjamin Stanford, a 17-year-old senior at Donoho School in Anniston, was found dead Tuesday afternoon, behind a Home Depot in Villa Rica, Ga., about 1/4 mile from where Stanford's car was found last week.
His body was discovered by a group of more than 100 volunteers in the search area, organized by Tim Miller of Equusearch, a private, Texas-based search and rescue firm.
Lynne Stanford, Ben’s mother, said the family had not actually viewed the body, which would be identified through dental records following an autopsy in Atlanta. They had not been provided with a preliminary cause of death.
