They’ve only been married for 72 days, but Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are calling it a day already. Kardashian, 31, released a statement today confirming that she is filing for divorce from her 26 year old husband.
“After careful consideration,” the statement read, “I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands that it was not an easy decision. I had hoped that marriage was forever, but sometimes things just don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.”
The reason for the divorce is thought to be cited as “irreconcilable differences”.
The statement comes after weeks of rumours about the state of the pair’s relationship when Kim was pictured a number of times without her wedding ring.
