This lovely harp seal is in peril as Canada's annual seal hunt has begun, though amid international appeals for an end to the controversial cull. It is thrilled that Celebrities such as former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney and his wife have joined animal rights groups in condemning the cull as barbaric and unnecessary. Anyway still sadly enough that 416,000 seal cubs will be killed according to a CNN report.
